English name γ-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane
CAS number 2530-85-0
Molecular formula C10H20O5Si
Molecular weight 248.4
Physical and chemical properties: This product is a colorless and transparent liquid with a melting point of -48°C, a boiling point of 190°C, a density of ρ201.045g/㎝3, and a refractive index of n D201.431. Soluble in organic solvents, alcohol, benzene, toluene, etc., insoluble in water, hydrolyzed into silanol in acidic water with a pH value of 4~5.
Usage: This product is mainly used for surface treatment of glass fiber to improve the strength of glass fiber reinforced polyester resin and the mechanical strength and electrical properties in the wet state, and to improve the dry and wet strength and light transmittance properties of unsaturated polyester composite materials. Improved wet performance of mineral filled composites in artificial marble. Used in the wire and cable industry to improve consumption factor and specific inductance capacitance. In water-based coatings, as a monomer, it is grafted onto the polymer chain, and after hydrolysis, the polymer chain, such as acrylic resin, is cross-linked to improve the adhesion and durability of the adhesive and coating.
Packed in special plastic barrels, with net weights of 5kg and 20kg respectively.
Storage: Store in a low-temperature, ventilated, dry room, protected from light, and sealed. It is best to store it for no more than three months.
